Assassin

The assassin is a master of dealing quick, lethal blows. Assassins often function as spies, informants, killers for hire, or agents of vengeance. Their skill in a variety of dark arts allows them to carry out missions of death with shocking, terrifying precision. Unlike the Blackguard, the assassin is not evil due to devotion to an evil power, but rather due to a complete lack of morals or ethics.

Prestige Class Requirements

Skills: Hide (8 Ranks), Move Silently (8 Ranks)

Alignment: Any Evil

Roleplaying an Assassin

Optional Requirement: The would-to-be assassin must kill a sentient creature for no other purpose than profit or to join a guild. An example of this is the Assassin's "First Hit", or a test of skill given by any Assassin's Guild.

Amia Specific Changes

Assassins have a small variety of specialized equipment. Some items have are marked with an "OOC: Assassin Only" warning, and may not be used by anyone without at least one level in the prestige class "Assassin".

In addition, the Assassin gains some spellcasting ability as per the PnP assassin class. The assassin must find a special NPC tutor to learn the following spells:
